Which service should I choose and why: MSP, ICBC, or Private?
For those who have been involved in a car accident, have an ICBC claim number, have an adjustor, and it is within 8 weeks of your accident, ICBC is the rate to pick. MSP rate is selected if you are on premium assistance (you make less than $22k/yr). What can I expect on my first visit?
First, you will be asked to fill out a case history form. Then the therapist will ask general questions to establish what areas of your body require help. You can discuss conditions needing to be addressed and ask questions. An assessment and test may be performed for evaluation of your condition and to see if you have any presenting complaints.
Is a doctor’s referral required to visit Harbourside Wellness Centre?
It depends on your insurance. On average, an RMT does not require a doctor referral to treat you if you are using MSP or Private rates. However, some insurance plans require you to acquire a doctor referral prior to treatment. Check your insurance policy to see if you need a referral in order to be reimbursed for your massage treatments. Please note, a doctor referral for massage therapy is needed if you have an ICBC claim.
What types of payment do you accept?
